Do the Royal Family have a right to privacy?

This weekend The Sunday Times reported details of a blackmail plot against a Royal. The identity of the Royal involved in the alleged sex and drugs blackmail plot remains protected by court order. Do taxpayers have the right to know more or is the scandal a private matter for the Royal Family?

    Why should they ?
We (the tax payer)pay their salaries (Giro), so should know what they are up to, but as usual, if you are Royal or rich you have different rules to us commoners.

once again we are treated to the spectacle of a member of this most disfunctional family
    getting away with it.
he wole lot of them are an anachronism. The sooner we do away with the lot of them the better. We should know the details in full, name and shame.

If we pay tax to the royals we need to know if our money is funding drugs.
