What's the best British comedy?

Is Monty Python funnier than Only Fools and Horses? UKTV Gold asked 4,000 people to choose the British TV comedy they considered to be the most influential. Monty Python topped the list followed closely by Only Fools and Horses. Is Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter funnier than the Ministry of Silly Walks or maybe you prefer Blackadder, Little Britain, The Young Ones or something completely different?

only fools is the best but digital tv overdoes the repeats you can watch the same episode 6 times in a few days

Monty Python has my vote. You had to be wide awake to follow the subtlties of the sketches. Whereas Fools and Horses says it in the title. You need to be one or the other to watch it.

It all depends on taste, I like both of them but only fools and horses are easier to watch , so gets my vote, I just wish they would not repeat as much !
