What's the best British comedy?

Is Monty Python funnier than Only Fools and Horses? UKTV Gold asked 4,000 people to choose the British TV comedy they considered to be the most influential. Monty Python topped the list followed closely by Only Fools and Horses. Is Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter funnier than the Ministry of Silly Walks or maybe you prefer Blackadder, Little Britain, The Young Ones or something completely different?

i grew up on monty pythons which at the time was as funny as only fools, opinions and views change and so does your sense of humour.Having said that the monty python films are just as funny today, still only fools wins, very likeable characters.
