What's the best British comedy?

Is Monty Python funnier than Only Fools and Horses? UKTV Gold asked 4,000 people to choose the British TV comedy they considered to be the most influential. Monty Python topped the list followed closely by Only Fools and Horses. Is Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter funnier than the Ministry of Silly Walks or maybe you prefer Blackadder, Little Britain, The Young Ones or something completely different?

Python by far. Love Fools & Horses, but it didn't exactly push the envelope, did it? Innovation is the key, and the Python lads had it in spades.
