What's the best British comedy?

Is Monty Python funnier than Only Fools and Horses? UKTV Gold asked 4,000 people to choose the British TV comedy they considered to be the most influential. Monty Python topped the list followed closely by Only Fools and Horses. Is Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter funnier than the Ministry of Silly Walks or maybe you prefer Blackadder, Little Britain, The Young Ones or something completely different?

My favourite comedy shows -Benny Hill,Les Dawson,The Two Ronnies,Morecambe and Wise,Tommy Cooper to name a few, all these were made for the family to sit down and enjoy, no smut or bad language. These were timeless comedy shows now gone for good unless you have them on DVD.

Present day- "only Fools and Horses",Little Brittain,Catherine Tate will bring a smile to my face followed by Prime Ministers Question Time,(that could be classed as a pantomime.

only fools and horses was sublime, especially the chandalier scene.the worst comedy of all time was the office.like watching paint dry, and ricky gervais is a rascist and tries to get laughs by poking fun at disabled people.he is lower than a snakes belly.
