It's rare to find a place of work where at least a few people don't harbour a secret, or not so secret crush on one of their colleagues. Maybe the sheer amount of time we spend working these days makes the odd office romance inevitable.
But do they ever work out? Is it completely inappropriate to start stepping out with one your colleagues? Have you got a secret crush on a colleague you'd like to share with us? Or do you have a terrible tale of what can go wrong when you find yourself romantically entwined with someone at work? Have your say.
Met my wife 17yrs ago in an office environment. So yes!
Also met my married, - now lover too. You can have ur cake, eat it also if boundaries are understood early on.
Why do so many assume that an office romance has to involve at least one 'married' person?
if you are sly, and dont mind feeling guilty then maybe
It completly depends on the situation at hand. If its going to effect your work or relationship with your job in a negative way, then think better of it. If your happy who your with (If you have a partner that is) then once again don't go there. However just because you work with someone, there is no harm in starting a relationship with someone unless it conflicts with work. Therefore, as some stories have pointed out- yes an office romance can live happily ever after, but sometimes, just like typical relationships outside of work, it just doesn't.
If it stays a secret, no-one gets hurt, no-one finds out, and then eventually you move on

Can an office romance ever live happily ever after?
