Catherine Tate landed the role of Doctor Who's new companion, reprising her role as Donna from the 2006 Christmas special in the new BBC series. Meanwhile, Freema Agyeman, who played the Doctor's existing companion Martha Jones, only gets to return mid-series. Has Freema been snubbed in favour of Catherine? Who is the better companion for the Doctor?
Bonnie Langford!!!!
Leela/ Ace were the best!! But Martha is great - I hated the screaming girly types (A la Bonnie Langford) Catherine Tate must be hard up for a job, there's only so many time you want to hear "am I bovvered" etc etc. All mouth no trousers...
MY PERSONAL BEST ASSISTANT HAS GOTTA BE
1.LALA WARD
2.SARAH JANE
3.BILLIE PIPER
4.FREEMA AGYEMAN
WE ALL KNOW LALA WOULD BE TOO OLD FOR IT NOW AS WILL SARAH JANE BUT BILLIE PIPER SERIOUSLY HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST MODERN DAY ASSISTANT FULL STOP AND FREEMA SECOND SHE WAS GREAT SHAME TO SEE HER GO , IT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS TO SEE CATHERINE TATE ON THERE AS AN ASSISTANT - IF THAT HAPPENS I MIGHT STOP WATCHING IT ALLTOGETHER AFTER 35 YEARS SHE WAS TERRIBLE AT XMAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE TERRIBLE IN FACT SHES NOT THAT GREAT AT BEING A COMEDIENNE EITHER !!! MOVE THINK AGAIN !!!
I'm sorry the Freema isn't coming back til mid series but I'm willing to give Catherine Tate a chance. The 2006 xmas special was no where near as good as the series, but the comedy between the Doctor and Donna was quite funny. Plus its a new kind of relationship for the Doctor...a companion who isn't in love with him! I also wonder how Donna and Martha will get along and how long there'll be three in the TARDIS. FOR THE XMAS SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
The only thing Catherine Tate will be good at is shouting alot in that monotone voice. She was dreadful in the xmas special. Those who chose her must be stark raving bonkers. I vote for Freema any day. (She was alot better than Billie Piper as well.)
