Catherine Tate v Freema Agyeman

Catherine Tate v Freema Agyeman

Catherine Tate landed the role of Doctor Who's new companion, reprising her role as Donna from the 2006 Christmas special in the new BBC series. Meanwhile, Freema Agyeman, who played the Doctor's existing companion Martha Jones, only gets to return mid-series. Has Freema been snubbed in favour of Catherine? Who is the better companion for the Doctor?

Martha because she was the first one to be his equal it is good to see doctor having a partner not a sidekick the character of the doctor and Martha Jones complemented each other, where as the doctor and rose was more like a night and damsel in distress

Plus Martha is the first one to get her own key to the Tardus

Billie Piper was just the best sidekick the show has ever seen.
Her and David Tennant were an incredible pairing.

I am a huge doctor who fan and say that Billie Piper was the best actress for the role. Forget Freema Agyeman or Catherine Tate, they just don't crack it for me. Billie Piper played the role brilliantly with both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. I think ratings will go down when they release season 3, Catherine Tate just doesn't cut it for me. Looking forward to the christmas special Kylie Minogue might play a good part, never fancied her as an actress but im open.
