Max Mosley received a vote of confidence and will remain as FIA President following allegations in the News of the World that he took part in a "Nazi-style orgy" with prostitutes.
The controversial decision has sent shock waves through the sport and its future with several manufacturers threatening action.
Do you think Mosley should have remained in the position? Will he still be able to receive government backing in other countries to develop the sport? Or were the News of the World at fault for prying into his private life?
i back max with my whip takes it like a real man and loves a turkish delight
I realise what he did isn't the most gentlemanly thing in the world, but does this really have any influence on the way formula 1 works? If he had done something that would actually disrupt the sport then i would all be for getting shot of him, but lets face it, this has nothing to do with formula 1. Just shows that he's a dirty old man.
He has let the sport down and should have resigned long ago. I can imagine his reaction if Ron Dennis had been in the same situation.
Unfortunately his father was who his father was - he cannot get away from that................but you would have thought given who his father was he would have chosen to dress up as somebody else in his fantasy world.
All I can say is what an idiot ! ! ! !
You could compare it to a publican who in his private life had one too many to drink and lost his publicans licence. I don't think people then would be saying his private life and work life are separate. No, they would simply say..........
What an idiot ! ! !
What a relief that some of these people who have left comments dont live in greenhouses, the only reason everybody (former F1 Champions jumped on the bandwagon to envolve themselves in something that has nothing to do with them) started to smear the reputation of the President of the FIA when it's not even their place to say anything. The FIA members need to be alowed to hear all the facts and decide what is best for the sport and not be swayed by external influences, if this would have been a court case these people would be stopped from mentioning anything that would influence the decision.
Max must be a good person for the sport because he fears nobody not even McLaren in punishing teams who cheat, he gave McLaren's Ron Dennis a chance to come clean but he didn't so he had no choise but to make the fine so severe.
