British sprinter Dwain Chambers will not be able to run at the Olympic Games after he loses his attempt to overturn his lifetime ban.

Mr Justice Mackay refused to grant an injunction to temporarily suspend a lifetime ban on the sprinter competing at the Olympics.
The judge issued his ruling this morning after spending yesterday listening to the conflicting arguments over the athlete's attempt to win an injunction suspending the bylaw before a full trial of the issues in March next year.

Dwain has served his ban - you should not be punished for the same crime twice. He is one of our real medal hopes.
Only twelve men have gone faster around the world this year, but five of those will not compete in China because of the United States' dominance in the event, while medal contenders Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell have been struggling with injuries.
- Look at our sporting cheats
We all make mistakes in life. Why not hand out a second chance to man who has admitted his mistake?
AGAINST by Judge Raymond Sithers-Sithers
We must have a zero tolerance attitude to sports people who take drugs otherwise the likes of Amy Winehouse will be eligible for the GB team. This sends out a clear message - just say no to drugs - as emphasised so succinctly by the cast of Grange Hill in their chart topping song of yesteryear.

How is it that Christine Ohuruogu is in the Olympics after 'missing' three drugs tests and given a life-time ban, when Dwain Chambers is still banned.
Why would you 'accidentally' miss three drug tests ? unless you were doped up and didn't want to get caught.
Even if drugs are no longer in her system, they still helped her to get into the shape she is now.
Ban the cheat for life or bring Dwain back.
The Olympics suck!
It's all a big con, and anyone who wins has probably taken drugs in the past but not got caught.
And why has 'Sir' Steve Redgrave been knighted when all he did was row a boat?????? BIG DEAL!!!
All these comments against Dwain....LOL!It makes the head spin reading all this rubbish, about "Dwain The Cheat", when in reality, their isn't 1 person here that isn't full of some chemical/drug.It obvious that British people love to moan, and when they don't win...they moan even more.It appears to be a national trait!SAD!
I for one could care less about if he used drugs or not, nor do I give a toss about the Olympics! To me, it is nothing but a platform for countries to show off how good they are...how advanced they are!Not only this, but it is a form of racism...pitting country against country. To me this is the underlying reason it even exist...so as to keep all peoples divided! It was never intended to be a peaceful, loving gathering...that's all hype!
The sooner people wake up, and leave money, ego, and nationalistic views out of it....the better.......and even better idea...just ban the Olympics!Running fast and being a "winner" and receiving a stupid lump of metal is not what is important!Running from point A-B in a really fast time will not help you evolve as a human. But as long as their is a mass populace that has no desires to evolve, then I'm sure the Olympics...east enders.and other mind numbing entertainment will be sot after!
Him and Christine Ohorugu should both not be allowed to run. Chambers excuse of loss of income is a load of rubbish because you don't actually get paid to go to the Olympic games. Also they bring British Olympics into disripute.
If there are any clean althetes in the sprinting events i will eat my hat. i am a weight trainer who exercises 6 times a week and i dont look anywhere near as ripped as them drug abusing freaks. Pot you Dwain and your drug taking athletic buddies. Your all on the gear so just face facts especially when you all pretend to be clean!!!!
