no one doubts the way jonny wilkinson plays and is known for not being a dirty player but he is not above the law with regard to his high tackle do you remember paul ringer? he was sent off the pich before even playing

can you tell me and most of the lads at the rugby club what brian ashton see in ian balshaw?
Mike Catt:
Erm . . . I think with Balshaw you have to play a particular game Karl. At the moment they are not playing that game so why pick him. He picks great lines, is an attacking full back and we're not playing to his running game strengths. If you play to his strengths, he can cause chaos to any defence.

hello Mike, how does it feel to be beaten by a club side. i thank the lord i,m WELSH
Mike Catt:
Not great, to be honest Dai! But hats off to Wales. James Hook was brilliant and always seems to play well against England. They weren’t very good in the first half but for them to come out and do what they did was fantastic.

at the match on 2nd feb why did england stop playing. was this a planded move or did they just run out of ideas or did ashton get it wrong.
Mike Catt:
Certainly the injuries didn't help our cause but I don't think it was a case of England stopping playing. In fact, for the first five minutes of the second we tried to do what we did in the first but you must be able to turn it around if it’s not working and change to a more territorial game. We didn't do that and Wales turned us over again and again with their rush defence. They got qquick ball and dominated.

i have read with disappointment other questions concerning the coach, did he make the mistakes on the pitch or was it the players. the tactics seemed to be spot on in the first half but again did the coach blow the chances or was it the players? Do you feel the second half dismal display was due to lack of leadership?
Mike Catt:
As Brian said after the match, there were enough experienced players on the pitch to get the decision making right. We should have controlled the game, pinned the corners and controlled the territory. Instead, we tried playing the same way as in the first half and when things went wrong, had no plan B. A lot of that decision making should be down to the 9, 10 and 12.

As we again here a "I don't know" when asked what went wrong from Mr Ashton, who does? Perhaps the person who actually picked the team, ie his boss? Don't you think it was about time the coach was allowed to do his job?

Ashton just seems to lack visible passion. His pre match comment that 'we will try to win evry game...if we can" was limp lame lacking in belief energy etc etc...if this is transmitting to me...surely it is transmitting to the team. What do you think?
