Watching the England game on Saturday the commentators kept mentioning Morgan Para and saying what a good young player he was. Then when it came to man of the match it went to Easter from England who they had mentioned a couple ot times. If they thought this young man was such a good player then surley the man of the match should have went to him. I was supporting England on saturday but I thought Para was the man of the match.

Firstly, why have you not addressed the other games this weekend? It fuels the arrogance bestowed on the english! Wales won brillantly while only being mediocre, and Ireland are putting a stamp on their game! Secondly if you don't expect France to play that poorly again, can we expect england to play that well again?
Mike Catt:
Wales did play well in Cardiff and they will be tough to beat, even by France. I think we can expect England to play that well again although Scotland are always up for it in Edinburgh. Stay tuned for my comprehensive Ireland v Wales report!! It's a match I'm really looking forward to.

Why dont referees give penalties for offside at the ruck and maul.It would make for a more open and fluid game

Was England the only team playing on Saturday? What about the team that has won 3 games out of 3 WALES WALES WALES
Mike Catt:
I was very impressed with Wales against Italy actually and, although it will be tough for them against France, that could be a cracking decider. My only concern is for them to get over-confident against Ireland because Croke Park can be a formidable atmosphere and Ireland are starting to play like the Ireland of old. But if anyone can do it, Gatland and Edwards can.

do you think the french can beat the welsh. or is it all over
Mike Catt:
I don't think the French will play the way they played against England again and will have learned from their mistakes. I actually don't think Wales will beat France in Cardiff in what could be the decider but it will be a great match!

Don't you think its time the officials paid more attention to forward passes? I know its easy to criticize but recently they seem to be missing blatantly forward passes in important areas. There are questionable passes in several of the tries in yesterdays internationals.
Mike Catt:
Good question Colin and to be honest, I do agree with you! There was a forward pass from a French player that was called up that actually wasn't a forward pass but in the Premiership there are a lot of instances where forward passes are just being let go just for the continuity of the game and guys seem to be getting away with it, which isn't good!

Good performance by England and finaly they are starting to use vainikolo in the centre. Do you think after this Ashton will try and push the players to use this more? Just had to comment i loved the way Richard Wigglesworth pulled the forwards around at the end, i havnt seen that in international for a while
Mike Catt:
I definitely think this is a tactic England must use more Gavin. getting Vainikolo to come in off the wing. What England need to do is make sure Lesley runs into holes rather than try to run over guys. If he ran in between people he'd brush both of them off. How is is it to have a ball off the top, straight to Vainikolo and three points from Jonny in the pocket. How easy is that! They set up that formation two or three times against France and I was very pleased with that. We were thinking properly.
