Any tips on how to achieve the quickest time around your karting track in Bangor. I the same time and can't seem to beat it. Going next Thursday and would love to make my quickest time.
Eddie Irvine:
Ask my staff because they're much quicker than me! Go late at night. It's faster at night, that's for sure.

Eddie,
Do you think there will ever be an irish grand prix? I once heard that mondello park would need to be trebled in size to host one, location wouldn't be a problem as Silverstone is always popular and it's out in the back of beyonds!
Eddie Irvine:
I don't think so. I think we might be lucky to have a British Grand Prix in three or four years time!

I know there is a bais for you,but do you think that the yellow flag incident with Massa would have stuck if it was anyone else BUT a Ferrari?
Eddie Irvine:
It would have depended on what stage of the championship and who was leading the championship. If it made the championship more exciting he would have got kicked out and if it let them have the chance to close up on the championship leader he would have been kept in and that's what sucks in F1! People will argue against it but that's what has clearly happened over the years.

Hi Eddie, not really a question, just wanted to let you know that I think you're HOT.

eddie why do they keep changing the rules and regulations? i always thorght that F1 was to be as fast as possible ??
Eddie Irvine:
To try and slow the cars down because the designers are so damn clever! Tyre technology, engine technology and aerodynamic technology has moved on. The cars cost maybe a million dollars each and you could make a car five seconds faster a lap than an F1 car for a hundred grand. So if someone was to abandon the rules and spend four hundred million on it, it would be insanity.

do you think that the drivers that are about now are as good as the ones from the past?
Eddie Irvine:
I think the racing is better but the racing is going to get better anyway because you have McLaren, Ferrari and BMW coming up so I think we're in for a good future. In my day there was a period when Adrian Newey almost killed F1 because unless you were Michael, you didn't have a chance if you weren't in a Newey car if you look at Williams then McLaren. Now you have Ferrari, McLaren and BMW so I think it's going to be better.

So will we ever see 'Team Irvine'? It would be great to have you back in the pits even if not back in a car!
Eddie Irvine:
I could get involved with someone else’s set-up like I nearly did with the Russian but it’s not the same if you’re not from that country. But against Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW I don’t really think there’s a position there to be a private owner. Frank Williams has done an amazing job to hold that team together but you have to say that some day that team is going to be sold and it’s probably going to be to a Russian or Chinese businessman who wants to do something like Force India has done. I wouldn’t rule out coming back to F1 in some capacity but it’s not something for me at the moment.

Eddie do you think with Alonso’s latest comment about possibly leaving Renault if a seat at Ferrari was available could be the next step in him ruining his reputation and less team wanting him in their cars. There’s no doubt he’s quick, can win championships and some may say a certain air of arrogance is needed to be a winner like he is, but surely you’d also want a team player who brings some kind of loyalty? Something he seems to lack after this kick in the teeth to his hard working team mates so soon after the lack of respect he showed Mclaren. Michael Schumacher was patient when he joined Ferrari and as history shows he went on to build something very special with the team!
Eddie Irvine:
I don't know what was going on in his head last year. he went to McLaren thinking they were going to gift him the championship. He went there and expected his team-mate to roll over form him because of past glories. In F1 it's not about the past. Lewis gave him a tough time and he reacted very badly to it and cut off his nose to spite his face. His chances of getting on the podium are slim. Lewis beat him too easily sometimes. If he doesn't get to a top team next year, and there are no spaces at Ferrari and McLaren won't take him back, he could have done himself serious long-term damage.
