    Hi Eddie

Sunday's Spanish F1 G.P. must have been the most boring race I've ever seen. No one at the sharp end even looked as though they might make any sort of challenge to the driver in front of them. If anyone wants to kill a sporting event like F1, then have the cars all going around 4 or 5 seconds apart every race. I'd sooner watch NASCAR. Least there I can expect some overtaking action.

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

I have to agree. The Spanish GP is often a procession and I thought it was very boring. I'd like to see the old qualifying format back so we can see who the fastest driver is and bring a bit of excitement back.

Hello Eddie, i would like to ask you who do you think is the best all round driver F1 has had in recent years? And Who has the best personality
out of the Recent day Racers in your knowledge-recently passed or present?

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

You can't argue with saying Michael Schumacher was the best. His record speaks for itself and he won races in cars that shouldn't have won, he won seven world championships and he won more than anyone else. Personality is not important F1 is about results.

  3. Question

    James from Oxford:

    Apr 25, 14:09

Hi eddie, great fan of you and F1 all together. You do you think will win the world championship? I know it's early days but I'd like a racers opinion.
    Thanks!

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

On current form you've just got to go with Kimi Raikkonen James. Ferrari are clearly the quickest and most reliable at the moment and Kimi just has the edge over Massa.

  4. Question

hi eddie, you were one of my sporting heroes!!why did you retire so early from formula 1 and what are you up to now?all the best

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

I retired because I didn't have a car that could win. Jaguar was the biggest joke. There's a photo of me joining the team and there are five different bosses in the photograph! That said it all.

  5. Question

    Dannielle from Boston:

    Eddie,
Do you contribute to any charities?
    Danni

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

I do bits and pieces for various things. I give money to Haiti because one of my friends is from Haiti and I was down there and it's disgusting what's happening there only two hours from the richest country in the world.

  6. Question

    noel from luton:

hi eddie do you still try to catch up to michael and have a chat

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

Not really. I bump into him from time to time but don't go out of my way to do so.

  7. Question

    Darren from West Mids:

Hi Eddie,Over the years Ferrari never seamed to treat you properly ie your breaking problems, so what do you think Ferrari will do if Massa wins this year chamionship thatis if he is aloud to? It was a shame the sport lost you.

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

Obviously Michael got better treatment but he was the better driver, he was the world champion and that was the whole idea. Massa and Kimi pretty much get equal treatment though.

  8. Question

how comes hamilton went up the back of alonso? didnt he have his glasses on?

    Answer

    Eddie Irvine:

It appeared that way didn't it! It was Lewis's fault for sure. He took a run at him and totally mistimed pulling out. It's strange because under amazingly tough conditions, Lewis has made no mistakes yet and in a situation like on Sunday where he was in control he does that. He was behind Alonso and I think that personally pissed him off and he reacted badly to it.
