A dismal performance against South Africa ended England's Cricket World Cup and it's hard to see where Michael Vaughan's men go from here? Who or what is to blame? And what can be done to help English cricket, particularly the coloured-clothing type, get back on its feet? Tell us what you think.
Having just returned from the kensington oval and watching england play -at last, a good game - against the windies.I was keen to see the final match unfold between the competions best two teams.Especially when sri-langka went into bat so late in the day 3pm + start. Having been there I should point out to those who haven't, that between 5.45 and 6.30pm the day turns into dark night.According to the overs still to play and the rules of bad light the batsman can be offered end of play for that day. How then -as in the telly comentaters own words' we are using the monitors as we cannot see any thing on the field of play by natural means' can the game be restarted and played out to the finished over rate. Watching the sri-langka's batsman only being able to possibly block balls that came straight at them! Not to play them properly made a mockery of the whole final! I bet that if it was the aussies in that predicament the match would have been stopped and continude the following day. But monies now talk and that would be costly to do for just the sri-langka's team. I feel that they had to suffer the finsh the same night just to please the organisers.Don't you agree?
well having just seen the biggest b***S up of any final with the organisers only wanting one team to win from the start how or what would the point have been if we had got to the final the tigers were on the way to stage a fantastic final 10 overs but no they had to play in the dark and scored 3 bounderies in the last 8 overs fair no will anyone in the top organisation resign no well why bother next time dont enter that way the chossen team can win again hhhh
the cricket world cup will never compete with football.......our cricket team need a new inspiration and pointing in the right direction with a bit of help they could become the best. have the players seen this competion as a holiday rather than a tournament ?
england are crap at all sports : cricket , rugby, football.
Its simple, Vaughan was a disgrace. Flintoff a joke. We need eleven good allrounders. If you cant bat you cant play.
