A dismal performance against South Africa ended England's Cricket World Cup and it's hard to see where Michael Vaughan's men go from here? Who or what is to blame? And what can be done to help English cricket, particularly the coloured-clothing type, get back on its feet? Tell us what you think.
if fletcher was praised for the good results he then has to take the blame for the bad.i personally was glad he was sacked because of his treatment of chris read who had twelve outs to his name in two innings and was not even selected.the man who came in nixon was a joker who wont be seen again ,that was fletchers responsibility he should have been sacked after the last ashes
England should bring back local talent scouts, there are plenty of young and talented cricketers throughout the country, it is just the same with football, the management of both football and cricket are only happy with expensive overseas players, soon there will be no English players in any of our national teams.
Dave from Bristol / Barbados is clearly at odds with the World Cricket results . What is he speaking of ? Money is the reason Aust triumphed ? What a load of trash ! It would appear that the Sri Lankan group would surpass by far the wealth of any other team in that they , in deliberation , forewent the opportunity to be the top team at the end of the super 8s by resting Murili and Vaas against Aust in their initial encounter , and thereby insulting the patrons that paid to see the best in the world and not give a toss about the lost income from finishing first ! My guess is that if Sri Lanka had won the toss , Dave from Bristol would lace his bias in this column with such idiocies as ' serves them right ' and ' The best team won ' etc . I can feel for him flying all that way to witness the debacle of his home team , but not to accuse the victorious of colluding with the authorities for a handful of money ! That's a universal insult !!
England... good at nothing.
Where are the English spinners
