I agree with catty with his comments on the wales game, he was the one player whose class stood out above most of his colleagues and his praise for the welsh team justifiably correct.I have to dissagree with our scottish friend about how he thinks wales have rebuilding to do, all of wales (apart from gareth jenkins)wanted james hook to start the tournament at 10 as he is the class fly half in wales who can win any game im not saying that if he had played the whole 6 nations then we would have won more games just that wales are a more attacking side with him at 10 than stephen jones who i think has had his day and with hooky at 10 wales are a stronger force as the welsh pack are as good as any in this neck of the woods, cheers catty and hope you play in this summers tournement england are a better side with you there.
I wonder was i watching the same game as mike described ? i sat in a pub watching the game and was the only paddy on the premises no one realised the enormity of an english team setting foot in croke park it certainly hit me to hear the brit anthem played in what is to all true irish people hallowed ground, but it fired me up and i know it fired the irish team as well they were brilliant couldnt do anything wrong england were just crap on the day admit it , as for peter stringer hitting out did you not see why ??? have another look man.
6 Nations sum up, Scotland once again couldn't reach their full potential, glimmers of hope but sorry old story of being our own worse enemy, Wales have a rebuild ahead of them and doesn't bode well for the world cup, yet they will take heart from beating England, England still have a way to go with glimmers of the old world cup winning ways but don't build a team around JW cos he won't always be there, France, well France are France, capable but just as good at throwing it all away and for me the team of the year so far has to be Ireland, they are strong in all areas and where unlucky not to emerge victorious on the day, how must they be hurting for not playing to the whistle, and of course not forgetting Italy, unforeseen outcome, possibly but they are big and strong and are learning fast, lastly Scotland v Italy in the world cup 21-18 in favour of the Jocks, all things crossed
As a Kiwi looking forward to the world cup but also being cautious... I didnt think england had a hope in hel in making it past the first round.....Until I saw Mike's comeback to the English team, fair play to you mate, you have pulled the team together, give it a year and the experience of the world cup up their sleeves and these new youngsters are going to change English rugby, but only with an experienced captain at the helm, its time for some of the back row to move aside (Josh and co), If Martin wants to keep on fighting then he will never see another captaincy either..... best of luck, but as a parting comment lets face it, the Welsh and the Irish fronted up and wanted to win against England, but also knew with a big effort they would win, its all about belief, thats sport.
England can win at home but not away. Where is the world cup? Are we gonna win the world cup? NO not at the moment, lets be honest please
