Who should captain England?

John Terry - the the butt of internet jokes for his tears and shanked Champions League penalty - was chosen as Fabio Capello's captain for the friendly against USA at Wembley.

However, he is by no means the only candidate for the role. Rio Ferdinand was previously thought to be the preferred choice of 'Don Fabio' , while Steven Gerrard has also skippered the side under Capello. And Aston Villa's Gareth Barry is expected to wear the armband for the first time against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.

Boy George, a gay team with a stadium full of gay supporters should have a gay captain. He would teach the team how to roll around on the floor more convincingly after the slightest tap on the ankle, how to put their hair bands on straight, and a wide range of petulant looks after they had failed to kick the ball straight or a decision had gone against them. i don't really care, as long as we can qualify for the world cup. all he has to do is keep the team together. however gerrard is a great choice, as is barry.
