Who should captain England?

John Terry - the the butt of internet jokes for his tears and shanked Champions League penalty - was chosen as Fabio Capello's captain for the friendly against USA at Wembley.

However, he is by no means the only candidate for the role. Rio Ferdinand was previously thought to be the preferred choice of 'Don Fabio' , while Steven Gerrard has also skippered the side under Capello. And Aston Villa's Gareth Barry is expected to wear the armband for the first time against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.

    The england manager should keep john terry as the england skipper he is one of the best, he is a great leader. yeah the other three are great as well but jt will always be a leader.

    What does it matter, we aint gonna win anything anyway. Our national game is so appalling that its run by foreign managers who can barely speak English. Top 4 clubs in England have one English Manager, National Team manager is foreign. English football is a joke, and is kept alive merely to sucker money out of dumbass football supporters to fund the lifestyle of a small percentage of prima donna players and their tarty girlfriends

    I agree with Peter from Poofdah, but I think it should be Micheal Barrymore - he could give them swimming lessons as well
