Are ticket prices now beyond a joke?

A report has revealed that the cost of season tickets for next year at Premier League clubs has risen by 8% - that's more than twice the rate of consumer price inflation.

The average cost of a mid-priced season ticket has risen to £590, with some clubs' prices going up by as much as 20 per cent.

Premier League clubs get huge benefits from television revenues, which have increased rapidly in recent years - yet still they continue to impose substantial increases in season ticket costs.

Is the bubble set to burst? Are ordinary folk being priced out of football? Is Premier League football going to be restricted to the 'prawn sandwich' brigade? Share your views here.

BWFC has frozen their adult season ticket prices, and have dropped their children's prices. Accompanied by a full paying adult (highest price £ 449 if bought before 28th June £499 if later), a child's season ticket is just £49 for anywhere in the ground.Family tickets are also available in the family areas of the ground. A season ticket for the singing section in the lower North stand (behind the goals) is just fractionally over £200.

If everybody made a stand and didn't buy them they'd soon drop the price. I struggle to watch the bottom league never mind the premiership!
