A report has revealed that the cost of season tickets for next year at Premier League clubs has risen by 8% - that's more than twice the rate of consumer price inflation.
The average cost of a mid-priced season ticket has risen to £590, with some clubs' prices going up by as much as 20 per cent.
Premier League clubs get huge benefits from television revenues, which have increased rapidly in recent years - yet still they continue to impose substantial increases in season ticket costs.

oh, come on, how many of you remember when football was a great game to watch, and also affordable, now it's just a fat cats pastime, 130 grand per week, and thats only for the players, I hate to mention the managers and the owners, this is no longer sport, it's business, pure and simple, You, my friends, are being taken for a ride, and you seem to love it, try taking a walk to your nearest kids football match, any weekend, and I guarantee that you will see football as it should be, and guess what,,, it's free
while people are still willing to pay whatever the price is to watch their team, prices will continue to rise .... so much for the working class game !!!!!!!
