Manchester United fans appear to have finally turned their backs on Cristiano Ronaldo after the player agreed with Fifa president Sepp Blatter's comments likening his situation at Old Trafford to that of a slave.
The consensus on United message boards is that the club should “bleed Real dry” for every penny they can get for Ronaldo, although some would be happier to let the player “rot in the reserves” as Sir Alex threatened some weeks ago.
United supporters quickly forgot about the Portuguese player's involvement in Rooney's sending off at the 2006 World Cup. Can he be forgiven again?
Is there any way back to Old Trafford for Ronaldo?
