League Two: Ready to climb out of the basement?

League Two: Ready to climb out of the basement?

With the two most monied clubs (MK Dons and Peterborough) having just left the division, there's all to play for in League Two this season - though the League's draconian points penalties may mean we already know who will battle the drop to non-league obscurity.

Among the favourites for promotion will be Shrewsbury and Bradford, with Port Vale's young side sure to be in the mix. Newcomers Aldershot and Exeter will not be short of motivation and momentum, while the likes of Rochdale, Wycombe and Darlington will be anxious to get closer than they did last season.

At the foot of the table, poor Luton will have to get promotion form just to stay up after their 30-point deduction, while Rotherham and Bournemouth are likely to face 15-point penalties that will plunge them immediately into the drop-zone.

How will your team do? Have they made the start you were hoping for? Is it time to depart the basement for higher climes? Share your views here.

Darlo no good at home. No atmosphere in big ugly useless stadium. Fans in Darlington can't afford to go. Darlo going nowhere as usual would not survive in Div 1. Penney trying hard but so did Hodgy.

Good game yesterday a few dubious decisions from the ref but on the whole City played well, Peter Thorne and Barry Conlon looked good up front and the defence didn`t look too shakey for the first game of the season. If can improve from yesterday then yes we will go up. I dont want a repeat of last season losing 3- 0 to stanley at home worst ever game i have seen all my life watching City.
