One club will be overwhelming favourites for League One promotion - Leeds narrowly missed out on play-off success despite beginning the season with a 15-point penalty, and Gary McAllister's men will expect to finish in the top two.
Among the favourites to join them, should they do just that, will be Leicester City - down in the third level for the first time - and Carlisle United, who reached the play-offs last season and despite the loss of their best players keeper Kieron Westwood and striker Joe Garner made a superb start.
Roberto Di Matteo's MK Dons and Fergie Jr's Peterborough will fancy their chances of successive promotions, while it would be foolhardy to write off perennial contenders Millwall, Southend or Hartlepool.
At the foot of the table, many predict Yeovil to struggle now the momentum of all their successes has worn off, Hereford and Stockport may find the step up tough, while Orient faded badly last season as did Crewe.

Ian..We have played the worst 7 mins of football this season and will be Hartlepools greatest acheivement this season (just look at this, pip's comments)..Freaky goal??Did you see it...It was a well taken goal by Chris taylor..and we had more than enough chances to go on and win it(even with 10 men)..Our greatest highlight this season will be, being Crowned Champions..and don,t worry Ian,next season I will still come on here to see how your going on, againds the likes of tranmere, stockport and hereford...

chris you are really deluded its untrue.the signs are already there that oldham are wobbling 2-0 up at h/t then 3-2 down then equalised with a freak goal.surely you are not saying that your ground is better than elland rd which sounded as it came across.we will not be behind you for long my old pal soon take top spot dont worry about that you will be smelling our behinds then we will s.it on you from a great height then that will make you fall away like you always do lol.your claim to fame at the end of the season will be ooohhh at least we beat leeds at elland rd but what use is that when you will still be playing crewe, yeovil, swindon next year lol.
