It's hard to tell which has been going longer - the 'Ronaldo to Real' episode or the 'Berbatov to Old Trafford' saga - either way, neither is yet over but they both have similarities that don't necessarily show Sir Alex Ferguson in a good light.
The United boss has spent a large part of the close season telling anyone who will listen that Real Madrid have been unsettling his star player - wooing him, making remarks of intent and overall making no secret that they know he's rather keen to go there.
Contrast that with his recent ridiculing of Tottenham over their claims that Fergie has been doing exactly the same thing to them over their stealthy pursut of Dimitar Berbatov.
They are not the only cases around - Liverpool have made no bones about wanting Robbie Keane, while some would say that Spurs did much the same thing before snaring boss Juande Ramos from Sevilla.
Who are the hypocrites here - is it Sir Alex? Or is he just doing his job? Have your say.
im a cardiff city fan and how anyone can slate fergy is shocking he the only reason the scum have dominated the prem the last years looks like english lads jelous thing cos sir alex is a jock mind u another jock boss was a legend too scouce fans will know listen to man he obiously knows more than u lot after all do u people manage a top team i think not
Sir Alex thinks he's God, I don't think so, believe me there's a difference! There was only one God in football and that was and still is Robbie Fowler!
sir alex is god
hey to all you lot why shouldn't he when he is not the only manager who does these things.so steve where does ur sayin come frome when you say utd have their own rules????
The point is football has rules which apply to all.......and then there are the rules that Man Utd have which only apply to them
