A recent survey of British football fans has found that 40 per cent who would have supported one of the home nations, do not intend to watch any of Euro 2008 games.
According to the research by Opinium, it is the English followers who seem most aggrieved by their team not qualifying, with 67% planning to decrease the amount they watch compared to 49% of Scots and 48% of the Welsh.
Patriotism seems to have got the better of a number of fans with three-quarters (75%) saying they will not be “adopting” another country for Euro 2008. Of the 25% who will be supporting another nation, Holland is the most popular choice, closely followed by Spain and Italy.
Will you be watching Euro 2008? Which team will you support? Have your say HERE.
I think spain will win and I think it will do us good not being in the euro 2008 coz I think we need to rebuild our team coz the press hype us up so much and then we just come crashing down.
i think france will win it with all the players they have benzema, nasri etc
if all the referees were not bios against our country we would still be in it and they would of made tons of money, this I know because they rip us off, however have you seen a sold out match yet? no! because they are not playing England, and to get as many as they have they reduced the price on the gate.
