What went right (and wrong) for England at Old Trafford? Who should be in (and out) of the team for the next Test? Share your thoughts now.
To Cricket man from Rossendale you seem to have a very short memory about cricket. You are calling West Indies a "A Class cricket team and suggesting that they only play Bangladesh but when West Indies was embarssing England and beating them inside 3 days would you like a West Indian to suggest that England should only play the weaker sides? I thought it not. A word of advice don't write off the Bangladesh side because they will be a force to reckon with very soon. Do you remember the Sri Lankan side that everybody was beating until the 1996 world cup when they turn the corner. Lastly I must say that you should enjoy the free ride that England is having as they will soon be whipped by they A team sides you are refering to as the West Indies side is down but definitely not out.
finally I must say that you should read what the great Tony Greig said about the West Indies side of 1976
they where good evan hamy
Why is it there are always people about to critisise a winning performance. Most, I suspect have never played any kind of sport. The views of these armchair critics are not worth a jot in my book.
Let's not forget the 5-0 drumming down under.
This West Indies side is only an "A' team.
Is it not time we had two leagues of test playing nations.
Paying top money for tickets to watch teams that are totally outclassed is not good for the sport.
Until the West Indies get back to their original class they should only be playing the likes of Bangledesh.
A two tier system is the only way,England playing these lesser sides only boosts their confidence until they come up against top test sides and then what happens ?????
What a captain cometh the man cometh the hour what a difference vaughan has made to the england team what a shame he was not fit in the winter it may have been a different story. Also well done to monty what a bowler he has turned out to be look after him and he will do great things for a few more years. Well done England and done without freddie.
