What do you think about convicted criminals winning lottery money?

Habitual petty criminal Michael Carroll was one of the most famous convicts to win millions on the lottery. Do you think there should be some screening of lotto winners? Should criminals be made to give some of their winnings to victims of their crimes? Or is a winner a winner, regardless of their lifestyle?

Good luck to him. It's his money. If he chooses to spend it on drink and bling jewelry, then thats his affair. However, his wealth should not make him - or anybody else - think that they are above the law. He behaves no worse than the Hooray Henry and Sloane types have done since the word 'snob' was invented.
