What do you think about convicted criminals winning lottery money?

Habitual petty criminal Michael Carroll was one of the most famous convicts to win millions on the lottery. Do you think there should be some screening of lotto winners? Should criminals be made to give some of their winnings to victims of their crimes? Or is a winner a winner, regardless of their lifestyle?

I totally agree with Emstar, why should people be aloud to harm others mentally of physically and then be given the privilege, when so many good people struggle daily to better there lives. I especially agree with the bit about donating to build better prisons but the victims should definitely get 50 percent

What a low-life bag of pig dung . Too bad he hasn't yet overdosed on one of his cocaine binges.

If a criminal is servering a sentance surely they should not be privilaged to win such large sums of money through the lottery. The Government spends millions of tax payers money on getting them caught and convicted, yet people still live in fear of their own backyard. Great civilisation we live in today. Why can't law abiding, hard working, respecting people have a better chance of winning those millions? Don't we deserve it! It's easy to be a criminal these days! Everyone should have a chance to better their life, you wouldn't play the lottery if you didn't believe that money wouldn't help. Maybe criminal lotto winners should pay back to support their victims and some money should go towards building better prison systems and rehabilitation education.
