What do you think about convicted criminals winning lottery money?

Habitual petty criminal Michael Carroll was one of the most famous convicts to win millions on the lottery. Do you think there should be some screening of lotto winners? Should criminals be made to give some of their winnings to victims of their crimes? Or is a winner a winner, regardless of their lifestyle?

Criminals should not be allowed to keep the money they should be made to donate it as supposedly they are being punished (what a load of crap they are treated better inside than we are outside!)

Everything happens for a reason. He was meant to win that money and meant to fritter it away and put himself back in square one.. it seems to show that really he couldnt give a hoot about life because he wouldnt have wasted it all and kept on acting like an idiot. ...and it hasnt taught him a lesson.. even if he got given all the money back today I bet he would do the same thing all over again.

i think if crims win a big amount ...first they should pay all court fees from previouse cases .second pay all there vitims a good amount depending on the crime and heartache they caused and lastly pay 20%of winnings to a charity such as caner research . this might make them think that crime dosnt pay
