UK's first super casino: good or bad?

Manchester recently won the bid to be the venue for the UK's first Vegas-style super casino.

Do you think a super casino in the UK is a good or bad thing? Is Manchester the right choice? Will gambling problems rise? Will you be visiting once the casino is built?

It should have gone to Blackpool.
Gambling in itself is NOT destructive. Its the excess that is the problem whether its booze, drugs, sex, food or religion.Addiction is merely a bad habit taken to excess. Everything in moderation should be the motto rather than dictate to others what they should or should not do.

When will the country see sense! Casinos may bring short term gain, but it will be a long term loss - wrecking lives and increasing crime.

If we must have one, then it should go to Blackpool being a holiday resort which needs whatever investment it can get.
