Manchester recently won the bid to be the venue for the UK's first Vegas-style super casino.
Do you think a super casino in the UK is a good or bad thing? Is Manchester the right choice? Will gambling problems rise? Will you be visiting once the casino is built?

i agree with dave from liverpool, no matter were u go and what city u go 2 your always going to have problems, i to be honest think manchester is a good choice (only because i live there and would love to see it lol) its something different to do on a weekend instead of going to the pub n getting wrote off...im all game for it
Are we such a weak-kneed lot that we can't enter a casino without losing our shirt, can't enter a pub without getting legless. etc. What happened to self-control? Greed is man's downfall, (and women's)
Blackpool has enough gambling arcades. Anyway Blackpool has gone to the dogs as regards a holiday resort. They'll probably have to cancel the 'lights' too, for health and safety reasons, according to the news. Blackpool in the dark? Yuk!
gambolling is what lambs do, William Owens from Stevenage. Gambling is what people do.
Casinos of whatever size are just another attempt by this rotten Government to extract more tax and sod the misery it will cause to thousands of families when cash is "thrown down the drain" instead of feeding hungry mouths and paying bills. As for a Manchester location, in my opinion any section of the population which is daft enough to pay extorniate prices for a football shirt gets what they deserve!
Oh, and the comments from the guy in Blackburn about manchester gangsters, roflmao, I can feel totally safe walking round mcr at night, unlike blackburn where I ended up with a broken nose and minus my wallet last time I went out for a night there. All towns and cities have these problems, some people have just too a parochial attitude, quick to criticise others.
