    in the mid 80's i attended the New Years Day metting at Ascot, i had 2 £500.00 bets on a so-called 'bent' races with the jockey Pat Eddery, he lost both times, on was supposed to be a 'guaranteed' bet !

    i loved a bet during the early to mid 80"s i didnt care if i lost or won i had no fear then my best bet was dancing brave in the king george after his defeat in the derby and i won a decent amount when i backed in in the arc in paris
