Police and immigration officers will be able to stop anyone and demand proof of identity under proposed new powers to be announced. Anybody who refuses the Big Brother demand could face arrest and a possible prison sentence. The move would effectively take Britain back to the Second World War, when people were stopped and asked to 'show their papers'. What do you think? Should the police be able to demand ID anytime?
and slowly they march us into the night...
they should have to state why hteir asking, and give you proof that the search took place...
so without good reason no...
I would just refuse to give it, let them take me to the cells, it will be them who are wasting their time. The police should try fighting proper crime for a change, and they wonder why everyone hates them ???
this recession is great-the pc brigade will die-only the strongest will survive.who is going to stand up for all the benefit cheats, immigrants, etc when people have got no jobs.
Nearly a million innocent people could have their records removed from the national DNA database after a court ruled holding them breached their human rights.
The European Court of Human Rights severely criticised police powers to take and hold samples from suspects even if they are released or cleared
We lost our civil liberties a long time ago when we were manipulated by Government and led into believing that a multi cultural society would be good for Britain. We are the victims of our own gullibility.Try expressing a view that does not fit in with the P.C Brigades way of thinking and be prepared for the wrath of hell to descend upon you.Freedom of speech has been demolisned by them.I am not surprised any longer by the erosion of all our hard fought for rights. We used to wonder how the people of Russia tolerated the Totalitarien state they lived in.We are heading down the same road because we have lost the will to stand up for ourselves for fear of being demonised by our elected masters. All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men and women to say nothing!!!
