Big Brother - Should the police be able to demand ID anytime?

Police and immigration officers will be able to stop anyone and demand proof of identity under proposed new powers to be announced. Anybody who refuses the Big Brother demand could face arrest and a possible prison sentence. The move would effectively take Britain back to the Second World War, when people were stopped and asked to 'show their papers'. What do you think? Should the police be able to demand ID anytime?

Yes - we need stronger Law and Order. This Government needs to support the Police a great deal more. Socialists heve never supported the Police. Let's have zero tolerance together with ID cards. I am prepared to forego some so called "liberty" if it means a crackdown on the undesirable element.

The Police do not have the Manpower to stop and ask for ID, this is a back door attempt by a desperate Communist Government to force ID cards on the British Public, and it will be State controlled representatives / Stazi who will be requesting ID from Members of the Public, we will see more Opposition MP’s and anyone who disagree with Neu Labour Communist Party arrested and targeted.
