Police and immigration officers will be able to stop anyone and demand proof of identity under proposed new powers to be announced. Anybody who refuses the Big Brother demand could face arrest and a possible prison sentence. The move would effectively take Britain back to the Second World War, when people were stopped and asked to 'show their papers'. What do you think? Should the police be able to demand ID anytime?
Under Labour and the EU we are becomming a Police State, next thing everyone will have to be off the streets by 7:00pm or you will be detained and sent to prison, people of different religions will have to wear some sort of badge like the Jews had to in the second world war.
For goodness sake ! WIll all you people "with nothing to hide" please post your sexual and political affiliations, salary, etc ? No - thought not ! In the same way I notice that all these peole don't post under their real names. Just because you have nothing to hide doesn't mean it should be common knowledge. Anyway, it's NOT JUST I.D. - what about the other 40 to 60 items of info which will be on the card ?
Wake up and smell the coffee people !
