The ban on smoking in public places, which came into effect in England on 1st July 2007, has been a complete success, with 400,000 people kicking the habit in the last twelve months, according to a survey by Cancer Research UK. Do you agree that the ban has been successful?
If all people can object to is the smell of smoking, let's ban garlic and curry !
There's nothing worse than being served in a shop by someone who reeks of garlic or curry.
And what about vehicle exhausts ? Nothing more dangerous than exhaust fumes yet we have to breathe that, like it or not 1
Stop moaning and get on with life - you're only entitled to three score years and ten - then you don't have any worries !
Ooh - I fotgot to mention the clean air we can now breath in our wonderfully empty pubs - a couple of weeks back, I made a now-rare visit to a crowded pub to see a live band; the venue smelled of The Three A's - Armits, Ar**oles, and 'Alitosis. Yuccchhhh. Also, very strangely, in the pub garde, equipped with covered tables & benches, and with push-button patio heaters (very eco-friendly I Don'T think), a large sign proclaimed that after 11pm, customers were only permitted to be in the garden IF THEY WERE SMOKING. The World is doomed; stupidity WILL prevail. We're all gonna die of boredom, misery & loneliness instead of cancer... Got a light?
Underarm deodorant should be banned, as it's now believed to cause breast cancer. Quite believable when one considers the amount of men who now get breast cancer, something never heard of before,
Good morning everyone.
It has been said many times that freedom is a wonderful thing.
Yet our freedom is being slowly erased day by day. I for one do not like inebrated people throwing up and causing trouble every weekend, or drivers who think it is their right to tear about our roads doing whatever speeds they deem fit.
Yet do you see the government banning drinking?
Yet do you see the government banning driving?
This country of ours is a wonderful place to live, but I am afraid it is being turned into absolute free fall of stupidity.
Freedom in this country is an absolute right of every lawful citizen, so revoke the stupid and let life proceed as normal.
Three cheers for the RED WHTE and BLUE.
