Smoking ban debate

Smoking ban debate

The ban on smoking in public places, which came into effect in England on 1st July 2007, has been a complete success, with 400,000 people kicking the habit in the last twelve months, according to a survey by Cancer Research UK. Do you agree that the ban has been successful?

smoking should be allowed in pubs and clubs where people go for r and r
also it should be allowed in mental health wards as it is a relaxant in psychotic conditions. it's cruel to withold it in this circumstance.

are the goverment aware of the way they are treating pensioners who fought in the last war. They have smoked all their lives now u see them struggling to stand or in wheelchairs out side pubs. They were brought up with smoking being a very sociable habit. Why should they be ordered around now?
