Smoking ban debate

Smoking ban debate

The ban on smoking in public places, which came into effect in England on 1st July 2007, has been a complete success, with 400,000 people kicking the habit in the last twelve months, according to a survey by Cancer Research UK. Do you agree that the ban has been successful?

i have served my country in times of trouble and i pay my taxes but i am now being made to feel bad because i smoke. in ireland bosnia and iraq nobody cared if you smoked but in the uk they do. more people die in road crashes than they do for smoking so lets sort out oter issues first. i have been awarded some of the highest awards the uk has for my services but i cant have a drink and smoke in peace get a grip people. let me have my choice.

The nazional socialist says you all must stop smoking, and when you do we will put up all your taxes, people fought for our freedom, and weak politicians who want to sell off our national companies don't even get a share, when germany sold a public owned company all the owners got a few pounds each, when our gov sell our companies we don't , we get a smoking ban, well hope you are happy, taxes for income will go up to compensate for loss of revenue to beer sales and tobaco sales, now we need to send messages, stop using fuel as well, see how they like it, don't work outside your town/city and use the bus. i have a mobilty car that i'm giving back as a protest-actually can't afford to run it.
