Depression is an illness that makes people do the most unthinkable things, I am sure if these people were part of your family you may find it in you hart to realise to feel compassion for everybody involved

This is a sad story, however please spare a thought not only for the driver but the track workers who have to go and pick up ALL of the bits. The smell is horrendous and all visable parts have to be removed and the area sanitized. These poor men ( and occasional women) have had to do this twice in 3 days.
My husband works for the railway and has had to do this many times over the years. He comes home in a fragile state and we have to cheer him up so he can go back to work the next day.

Crumbly Oldy has a valid point... to involve others in your own death is selfish. Obviously if your feeling that low that you have to end it then I guess you're not thinking straight anyhows... but I feel this is the deep rooted problem in this country - that people feel they have to wrap the victims in cotton wool, and not think anything of the other innocent victims. Look at Maddie McCann and her loyal baby gang supporters - would they be as quick to support her if she came from a council estate and had a single mother? or if the girl that jumped onto the railway line just so happened to be a muslim in a veil?
I think you get my point.
