More than 100,000 homes will be forced to give up their broadband internet under plans to introduce a controversial tax, TalkTalk has said
Have we ever had a budget of any party where taxes went down ??? In my voting lifetime 1960's onward the only things I remember being removed was the dog licence and the radio licence, probably because they cost more to chase up than they were worth.
sorry - what was that headline again?
Oh - I see - ANOTHER tax - yes, I see - of course its necessary - after all we have it easy everywhere else in tax terms dont we? - NOT !!
Its time for folk to get together and stand up against stuff we dont want!
I wonder just how long it would take for Mr Brown and his cronies to scrap this policy (perhaps after their pockets have been lined by backhanders from the ISP's) if we ALL cancelled our broadband subscriptions over the next couple of weeks!
My point is that if we ALL read our terms and conditions, and gave notice of termination of contract at the required time BEFORE the date of the tax introduction - the ISP's would have a MEGAFIT !!
So if it happens - take your own action! I reckon even a 30% signoff would give the ISP's heart failure!! LOL
If the government put a tax on all forms of enjoyment as this government has they can then raise the tax year after year to fill up the government coffers. Remember insurance tax?......keeps on going up. Remember tax on air fares....look where they have gone and still going! Green taxes that go into the central coffers of the Exchequer and not spent on relieving environmental impact. Tax on rubbish collection. There will be no pleasures left to tax and will only make life even more morbid under this dastardly government. Fresh Air for me.....how long before I am taxed on that?
It is true because the bbc did a story on this a while back stating the government had put plans forward to put a 50pence a week/month (cant remember that bit) on homes using the internet,so not only do I have to pay electricity to use my internet, then pay virgin the pleasure of using them as an isp i now have to pay the government 50p for them doing NOTHING,what exactly are they claiming the tax on seeing as virgin pay for all the work on maintaining the internet and all the ppl work for them, the electric companies pay to supply the electric, what prey tell does one eyed captain brown do for us in this chain??
Taxin us Again. Come on goverment......... you still to think about taxin us on breathing!! some serious money to be had there! arggggggg!
