Cinders...earlier post refers...still haven't heard back as to why you insist on using this ridiculous chav word "lol" it is no naff and cheapens any sentence it's contained in...exactly what does it mean? Also, will you and your moderate Muslim chums be supporting the Pro-Muslim/Anti Sharia "one Law for All" rally being held today in London...hope so, I certainly will!

Houndz, thank you for your reply it gives me a better understanding, however it is just as I had suspected and that is, immigrants that settle in this country never have any intention of abiding by this countries laws and instead bring their own with them, neatly wrapped in a religious parcel. I understand that this doesn’t apply to you directly as you have already stated that you are of Scottish and Irish blood and have converted to Islam by choice, and that is your choice and one which I will not criticise. You/anyone can follow whatever faith you wish but the danger comes when that faith is in direct contrast to the laws of the land. Which brings me to the next point, if you are native to these shores then why didn’t you know about its marriage laws? Why can’t you do as other faiths do and marry in a registry office first and then have you religious ceremony afterwards, where in your eyes, you will then be legally married, easy really don’t you think, or is it a case of “I don’t want to/will not do that”. I have no intention in cursing off your “bible”, what a silly remark to make, that thought is in your mind not mine. Please do not pray for me, that madam is a definite no no, you have not had my permission to do so and is an intrusion on my soul and shows your arrogance, however if you wish to pray for yourself to salve your own soul then so be it. My life is not awful, I am truly blessed, my conscience is clear, I would never harming a living soul, whether it be human or animal and life has been good to me, I have never wanted for anything and I am surrounded by the love of my family and friends, what more could I ask except to keep my self, family and fellow citizens’ free from tyranny and fear,

Betty from uk.......you actually chose this bloke of yours? I jest with you. Atleast he loves you, be grateful for that lol.
A lot of us poor unfortunate muslim females (not all, they are the lucky ones) don't have a choice, so imagine that Betty. And again, religiously we are allowed to say no. But, culturaly.... the pressure is too much and consequences for some very severe.

I have only recently started to follow this thread. However, I have backtracked, and taken samples from first post to last, and this discussion about a fundamental and inherent right of a nation to uphold and defend its way of life has left me, as a Father of three Christian, white kids, quite frankly, dismayed.
    It started off well enough.
However, it soon degenerated into something resembling an episode of some well known soap opera, or reality TV show. And this is the trouble with British society today. Rather than `make a fuss`, we are all guilty of stepping back and not taking responsibility for fear of the repercussions. Whether that be from the immediate situation, or legal consequenses, it makes little difference.
This country has `gone to the dogs`, but, I,we,you have allowed it to get there.
I, we, you, allow all manner of `minority groups` to dictate to us and I,we , you have given them the freedom to do so.
I do not know which quasi-politcal party has the gumption to say enough is enough. Nor do I know, what the ramifications of electing such a body will have in twenty years time. I do know, however, that this once great country of ours will be no place for my, or your children, to grow up and prosper in.

It seems to me that those who want to live by sharia law should go and live there, wherever sharia is
