Welfare reforms forcing single parents to look for work or risk losing benefits are "family friendly", Work and Pensions Secretary Yvette Cooper said
I think Yvette Coopers spot on with her proposals, These layabouts seem to think the world owes them a living goodness knows why. Why should i have 28% of my pay deducted to keep a roof over their heads when they've got no intention of working? I blame the parents.
cali from uk ..I to am a single mother with a severly disabled child, I constant juggle work with care for her, what i want to know is...WHERE do you get specialised child care from???? as there is NonE to be had, you pay out of your wage...everyone can work IF THEYY TRUELY want to...what do you do when hes a school???
Neil from Tenby - Nope wasn't scanning boards just was looking for something i had posted a few days back and saw someone had replied to my comment lol.
In all, we can all say what we want on here but no taxpayer in this country has a choice what the government do with the money they take in taxes or in who gets what.
But going back to the subject unless a single parent has a good reason not to work there is no reason why healthy single parents of working age can't do some form of work that fits in with their family commitments once their children are at school and a life time on benefits is not something they should be expecting to continue with.
--GORDon BROWN---IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE POOR FAMILIES OF THE "uk" He has cashed in his lot with the EEC-to get Political power, since he does not have -this-in the-uk!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think like most people they should at least be encouraged to try, instead of presuming its going to be benefits for life. 31st October 12:42? Someones been scanning the boards haven't they? I bet you work full time don't you Hmm well from here?.Don't worry no need to reply, i think we already know. Lol
