Woman may have lain dead for years

The body of a pensioner may have lain undiscovered for five years in an Edinburgh city centre flat

So poor Isabella Purves died aged 85 and lay unnoticed in her flat for 5 years, shame on her indifferent neighbours that they did not care enough to even try to find out if she was alive or dead, shame on them!
I also have to question the lack of interest from her own GP or social services, how could they not have realised there was something wrong, surely at her age she should have been seen routinely by at least a district nurse? We are supposed to be a civilised society, yet once again the elderly appear to be excluded from any real care!!!!!!!!

The florist sounds a caring charmer doesn't he? It's a sad reflection on society in general when people are laid dead for months or years and go unmissed or uncared about.

    Derek from Hemel Hempstead,
All her bills were paid by DD, and her pension went in striaght into the bank. If it was being paid, there would have no need for them to visit.
