As has been said many times on this site before, hundreds of people die in this country every winter as a result of "non-swine" flu. No panic about that (or any attempt to limit the number of deaths through appropriate NHS response) is there....?
This is an opportunity for a moribund administration to appear "heroic" to the morons who watch sensationalist TV - until, of course, the NHS breaks down due to the absence of an appropriate response by GPs (who can't be bothered now they are paid over 100K for a 9-5 day 5 days a week provided they fill in a few forms) or the practice and hospital managers on similar (or even better) packages running around with clipboards whilst the poor old nurses try - I was going to say "valiantly" but in fact not very well - as too busy admiring their degree certificates or filling out forms themselves - to "nurse"....
    We are all doomed....!!

christine from lincoln says: "I believe some are becomming over obsesive." Yes christine, but what about those chips. Chips are made from potatoes, which come from farms. Farms also have....pigs. I think you should have washed the chips as well.

With respect Phil from Bacup, you may THINK you have flu,but you can't possibly know until you have been diagnosed. There are so many symptoms linked with flu that are also linked to other underlying illnesses. As for swine flu, again you couldn't possibly know what it was, because you've never had it!! I'm not saying go the docs every time you sneeze, but accompanied by headaches, feverishness, sore throat etc, then a visit is advisable, and NOT to be turned away by a request on the notice board is what I'm saying.
