Two police dogs have died after overheating in a parked car
This is one of the worst cases of cruelty, by people who are in the profession and are well informed. They should be suspended or treated as if it was an everyday member of the public. Ridiculous, stupid and unwarranted.
Lets hope this tragedy sends out a strong signal across the other forces to look after their hard working dogs and give them more consideration.
Sorry about the last spelling mistakes, but these fins are not easy to use on a key board, If you have a pet you are responsible for it - NO excuses. NOW please come and throw me some food
NO EXCUSES ACCEPTED, WE RELY on YOU HUMANS TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY US, IF YOU ARE RESonSIBLE FOR US WE COME FIRST, NO EXCUSES
amanda from cumbria yes your right it was wrong to compare the dogs suffering to any financial loss although i doubt they will be phased out as i suspect they are invaluable in certain situations especially at night Heatwaves may become more common and i think there should be more publicity about the risks of carrying animals in cars in very hot weather and the penalties for causing harm by doing so increased In fact in officially declared heatwaves it should be illegal to have a dog or other pet at all in a car except under certain circumstances like emergancy trips to the vet
