Shadow chancellor George Osborne will be investigated by a sleaze watchdog over his second home allowance claims
sister he did... not his instigation. now i could be wrong but i think that was clause six and it was withdrawn by consent. i was watching the debate but was busy and could'nt concentrate on that part. but i would bet i was right....i hope. in other words he could'nt get it through and are leaving it to the lords.
Just looked at my spreadsheet of MP`s expenses for the last year. George Osbourne £151,015. Alistair Darling £151,904. If anyone wants know their MP`s exes, I will oblige.
If I might say so Groucho from Newcastle, your comments suggest that you are quite well versed with the details, so might I draw on your expertise to confirm or deny a BBC report that Jack Straw removed the proposed penalty of imprisonment for MP's promised by Gordon Brown from the new 'Code of Conduct' for MP's who are shown to have contravened the new rules?
For Steve from Norwich: If you are talking about Aitken and Archer, they were both prosecuted after they were out of power. I should imagine that once Labour are out of power, the queues at the HighCourt will be pretty lengthy.
can we get something right here. osbourne is not being investigated by anyone. the only thing that has happened is someone put in a complaint and it has been stated that osbourne has been asked to comment on the allegation. and on receiving that it will be decided if he should be investigated . so people jumping the gun. by the way i really dislike cameron so this is in no-way any support for him.
