Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs could be free within days after Justice Secretary Jack Straw agreed to grant him parole, it has been reported
If he hands back the £2 million let him out for his last few years! if he don't keep him in till the end! simple its called justice!
it seems odd to me that Biggs is still inside because he may be a risk and according to the press over 900 recalled offenders are still at large
london gangs completely different. they were too close to people in power. rememer lord boothby. had a certain kudos amongst certain sections of the public. media types liked to be seen with them. so thats the reason for what i posted. i have no real take on it as i say but its my view of things. ..keep them in their place seems to be the unsaid mantra
Froggie 1936, the board is about wether Biggs should be allowed parole or not, but the term Govt money is used loosely to discibe yes our money, but in Govt hands when it was being transported, and Groucho i take your point about sending out warnings to other criminal gangs etc, but what about an affray between two gangs in M/cr Royal Infirmary were clearly guns were in use (photo off CCTV in newspaper) the longest sentence handed out then, 22 months and most of them got community service orders, what sort of message does that send out! and this happened only a couple of years ago, todays criminals make Biggs en co look like boy scouts.
LIFE should mean life and be grateful they dont have the electric chair or the lethal injection over here - because thats what some of the killing s*** deserve.
