Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs could be free within days after Justice Secretary Jack Straw agreed to grant him parole, it has been reported
He should never have been allowed back in, to be a liability to the country. He can't have had a valid passport after all those years. He only came back to get free health care here.
i agree with j from l
hi steve u r so rite
I agree with T from M. If we still had the same level of 'deterent' today as in the early sixties, then MAYBE--keeping Biggs inside -under present circumstances--would be justified. BUT--we don't, and therefore the hypocracy of sudden new found-'duty of care' obligation ,from this shyster gang in power, stinks to high heaven.
we do let allsorts out of gaol too early, and fail miserably trying to catch others, m/cr police had peter sutcliffe in 7 times for questioning, over 200 murderers have been released to commit further murders since the death penalty was abolished, after all this time Biggs poses no threat, and apart from the punishment aspect, thats why we send em to gaol, to protect society, you should be spiting your venom at the courts for NOT sending the right people down and for not giving LonGER sentences, if they had of released him without the media furore, who really would have bothered.
