Grubber37. I am with you on all that you have said, the problem is what is obvious and right for the country the goverment will not do, we have lost our way. Summary: (what we need in our country is to be listened to and those throughts and ideas actioned upon now)

got 5 mins......at last ....at long last some decent well thought out policies...
oops something not quite right tho....damn-it....
main policies are not based on hard solid ground......we would have to depend entirely on the scots .welsh and irish to vote on independance...bit shaky that to base our future on... in this recession....ah well others seem ok as long as every member of the ...eu...votes in favour of our request...unless of course we leave...
just a little dissappointed but you never know they may all agree with us.. got to rush.....

Hey Groucho! you keep on about policies, what about these for what an Independent England should pursue. 1/ Do away with the Barnett Formula. This would bolster the coffers by about £30billion a year. This hopefully would trigger the rush for Independence for Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland and they would rush to the E.U. for subsidies. once they have obtained their Soveriegn Status all those tens of thousands of jobs in the public sector that Brown has created in Scotland would be relocated to the North East of England. These jobs deal with the affairs of the people of the U.K., 60 million people, so how many of those would an Independent Scotland keep to deal with the lives of 5 plus million Scots. The DVLA in Swansea would be relocated to the West country and also the Royal Mint at Llantrisant. The DVLA employs 5ooo people, and how many of those would be kept on to deal with the motoring requirements of 3 million Welsh. The catholics in N.Ireland would of course make a United Ireland, I am sure that the Republic would welcome them with open arms and share the funding that Eire gets from the E.U. The so called `loyalists` would return to their natural homeland, which is Scotland. Mad Dog Adair is already there, living in Ayr. The pensioners of England would get an immediate 10% increase in their state pension. England would no longer fund the Commonwealth. If the countries of the commonwealth want to keep ties with England in spite of not getting funds, that is up to them. The only Commonwealth countries who do not receive funding are, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. I wonder what they have in common. We will renegotiate the E.U. and the Human Rights bill. If an immigrant breaks the law he/she will be deported. Immigrants will only be allowed in the country if they have a job to go to. Hows that for starters. I forgot, only English Nationals will be allowed to sit for the English Parliament.

good post on D of D Grubber, and from you Bob. I see nothing's changed while I've been missing - groucho's still bleating about policies or lack of same..groucho, if only I had Mr Cameron's ear and knew what his policies were, I wouldn't tell you - you'd only ring our mate Gordy and tell him, so he could nick any that suited him..!

I could almost feel sorry for groucho , that last post sounded a lot like a whimper, Policy on paper and policy on the street are vastly different things. Labour activists seem to think that statistics are all that matter. People are not numbers on bits of paper. they suffer when systems fail them and when people are struggling policy and rhetoric are forgotten and probably blamed for the hardship, Labour policy isn't widely discussed here becaause I don't think too many people even bother to listen to it now
